Zapier beta

Create images, generate code, or run saved Vmotif workflows from the apps you already use.

Join the beta#

Help test Vmotif on Zapier before its public release. Use this invitation to add version 1.0.1 to a Zapier account.

This integration is in private beta. It is not yet in Zapier's public App Directory. The invitation adds the Vmotif connector. Each tester connects their own Vmotif account.

What you need#

  • A Zapier account. Use a standard account or create one now. A Zap with one trigger and one action can use the Free plan when both apps are free to use on Zapier.
  • Vmotif API access. Use a personal Pro or Enterprise plan, or a seat with permission to generate in an active Team workspace. See plans and limits.
  • A Read & write API key and GPU credits. Image, code, and workflow actions spend from the GPU wallet selected for the key. Editor tests also spend credits when they start a generation.

Zaps with several actions, or Webhooks by Zapier, need a suitable trial or paid plan. New Zapier accounts include a 14-day Pro trial without a payment method. See Zapier's trial details.

Connect Vmotif#

  1. Accept the invitation

Open the beta invitation above. Sign in to Zapier, then follow its instructions to accept access to Vmotif.
  2. Create a dedicated API key

Open Vmotif API key settings. Name the key “Zapier” and select Read & write. Select the personal or team GPU wallet to use, then save the key.
  3. Add the connection in Zapier

Create a Zap and select Vmotif (1.0.1) for an action. Add a connection, enter the API key, and give the connection a name.
Enter the key only in Zapier's Vmotif connection form. Keep it out of prompts, shared Zap fields, screenshots, and feedback emails. Revoke the key in Vmotif settings to remove its access.

Run a first test#

  1. Choose an event from another app

Use a new row in a spreadsheet as the trigger. Use a separate test sheet to control when the Zap runs.
  2. Add a Vmotif action

Choose Start Code Generation. Enter a short prompt and select a code model. Set the Code Language to json. For example: “Return a JSON object with ok set to true.”
  3. Test, publish, and trigger the Zap

Test the steps in the editor. Publish the Zap and make sure it is on. Create a new event in the trigger app, then check Zap History for a successful run.

An editor test alone does not count as a live run. Please keep the successful Zap on during the beta review. A test sheet lets it remain on without an automatic schedule.

Use the finished result#

Start actions return an ID before generation finishes. Add Delay by Zapier, then a Get action to retrieve the result. Start with a one-minute delay. Some models and workflows take longer.

Start Image Generation
Create an image from a prompt. Leave Aspect Ratio blank to use the model default.
Start Code Generation
Generate code or text in a selected language.
Get Generation
Map the Start action's ID to Generation ID. Read the image URL or code after completion.
Start Workflow Run
Run a saved workflow owned by the connected account.
Get Workflow Run
Select the same workflow. Map the Start Workflow Run action's ID to Run ID.

Continue to later actions only when Status shows completed. If it shows pending or running, wait longer before retrieval. If it shows failed, read the returned error. See the API reference for details.

Share feedback#

Tell us what worked or where setup stopped. Email support@vmotif.com. We respond within 24 hours.

Include the action name, run time, and any error message. Remove API keys and private data from screenshots. A successful test report helps us prepare the public release.
